You may have heard about the Army releasing new regulations on the Wear and Appearance of Army Uniforms and Insignia. It’s Army Regulation 670-1 and it’s a pretty big deal. This regulation applies to Active Army, the Army National Guard/Army National Guard of the United States, and the U.S. Army Reserve.
One of the areas addressed and changed are the requirements for boots. The changes are so significant that many of the boots on the market currently worn by soldiers no longer meet Army specs. So let’s take a look at what’s required in a boot.
These specifications can be found under Army Regulation 670-1. That document refers the reader to pamphlet DA PAM 670-1 for information on composition. Propper has been making authentic military gear since 1967. With almost 50 years of manufacturing apparel to exacting military specifications, when you see Propper, you know it’s right. That goes for our Series 100 and Series 300 boots too. Have confidence that they are 670-1 compliant.
