"I purchased these Edge Tec Slick pants to add a pair of pants that could be worn in the office or in the field. I have 3 pairs from a competitor (that are great) but I decided to give these a shot. The first thing I noticed out of the bag was how light weight they are. These pants are so thin that if you hold them up near a light source, they’re almost see through. I had to try them on with black boxer briefs to make sure they weren’t too transparent. They passed the test, but they made me a little nervous the first time I wore them during classroom instruction. Next there are some small things that bother me. The rubber lines inside the waistband look like someone ran a bead of silicone caulk around the waist. Two lines of sticky rubber designed to keep your shirt from coming untucked, but they’re too sticky and I’m not sure how long they’ll last or how long it’ll be until they start collecting lint. The YKK zipper is big (almost too big) but the addition of a 1” fabric pull makes it obtrusive. These pants definitely could do without the dangling metal zipper with attached lanyard that constantly needs hidden under the zipper flap. I’ve started wearing these in the winter so humidity is low but I notice these pants create a lot of static. After the first day I wore them I found a nest of hair clinging to one leg, I’m hoping that with diminish as they wear and the dry winter air warms up. Finally the front button is actually a snap disguised as a button, which doesn’t make a huge difference. I like the slider waistband allowing plenty of room for an inside the waistband holster, but keeping them snug when not wearing a sidearm. The slash style front pockets are much better than jean style, but a little shallow. Reinforced knife are on the pockets is a plus (especially given the thin material). They fit true to size in the waist but have a generous boot cut in the leg (almost too big). Overall these are okay pants. In concerned about how they’ll wear and some of the details could be improved. If making the decision again I’d stick with the competitors pants."

"These pants are my go to. Light weight, durable, comfortable. Great movement, pockets are good, stretchy waist, and has a rubber grip strip to keep your shirt tucked in. My favorite is no cargo pockets, as I don't need nor want them. I only wish they came in more colors"

"I just came back from a trip and the EdgeTec Slick Pants exceeded my expectations. I planned to use these pants to the full extent and ended up wearing these pants more than my RevTac pants. Due to my body shape and my preferences, I had the pants hemmed to remove any sag or bunching around the ankles. 3 Reasons why: 1. A light, breathable material. 2. A pair of pants that doesn't get a second glance from passerbys. 3. A simple design with 5 pockets. It was a simple pant that was used often for walking around the city of Saigon and also functioned well as a dress pant. The material was light enough to keep me cool during warm and humid weather (77-90 F) and did not irritate my sensitive skin. For those who conceal carry, the pants has a stretch waistband to allow for IWB use. The only change I would make but not essential to the pants would be adding button closures to the back pockets. If the back pockets were full, the contents would likely fall out. However, as I was riding a motorscooter at 40-50 mph; I encountered no issues with items falling from my back pockets. I didn't even feel the items in my back pockets were there either. Overall, very comfortable and simple pants for a hard-to-beat price."
